Born in Tehran on March 23, 1979, Qafouri's journey into cinematography began in 1993 under the guidance of his father, Abdollah Qafouri, a renowned figure in Iranian cinematography.
Having internalized the art of storytelling through images from an early age, Qafouri officially began his cinematographic journey with the television series ‘House to House’ directed by Kianoush Ayyari.
In the years of his career, Qafouri worked with professional cinematographers such as Asghar Rafiee Jam, Mahmoud Kalari, and Alireza Zarrindast.
These invaluable experiences sculpted his artistic sensibilities, laying the foundation for his ascent as a Director of Photography.
Since 2006, Qafouri has been a driving force in Iranian cinema, and he has contributed his visual expertise to numerous acclaimed productions.
